Condolence & Memory Journal

I was surprised & saddened to hear from friends, yesterday, that Gary had passed away. I had worked with Gary for many years at GLGD. Years ago the guys at the shop formed a bowling league, you could always count on Gary to keep us laughing & a round of beer. I retired, many years had passed, my wife & I were driving back from a car show in my 1950 olds rocket 88, we were near Medina Oh about an hour from home & we ran out of gas. So there we were stuck on the freeway looking at each other saying "Now What!", just then a car with a guy & a young girl, pulled over to help us. Yes.., it was Gary who rescued us.
This happened about 10yrs ago. Gary's friend, Pete

When someone dies so suddenly, it is such a shock and it takes your breath away for a minute. Then you digest it, and reflect on what that person meant to you. Gary worked with my husband for over three years and they became very close. Gary raved about his children and grandchildren and was always concerned about "doing the right thing." He was a perfectionist. Despite his "tough guy" exterior, he had a wonderful heart. To me, that's what it is all about anyway. Gary, you have left footprints on our hearts and will be missed. Rest in peace.

Dear Brenda and family, we love and will miss Gary more than we can say. He kept us on our toes all the time. His wit and love of life was infectious. He loved his family, his life and most of all he loved his God. I want to see this man on the other side. I will think of him every Sunday 11 AM. Ruthie.
