To Peggy's family please accept my sincere sympathy. Peggy was always a kind person. Even though I have not seen her in a long time I still considered her my friend. RIP Peggy, you are now in your forever home.

As one of the caregivers to Peggy I had the honor at her request to be allowed to express my tender loving care through my hands as I took this oath to provide professional care to many as Peggy was a beautiful woman with a stern heart of gold very serious about her care and she needed to feel secure that you could meet her needs and she'd pull out the best of you without you realizing that her care was intimate her care was cleaver Peggy's care needs touched your mind and heart. Her care taught you if nothing else patience. Patience to help you relax into a professional mode by putting your heart into her care and once I examine her needs my care was all love because she made me understand through patience she's a loving person and I went above and beyond my duties as always because Peggy diagnosis could be me or it could be you.Peggy taught me how to love and spoiled her. Peggy slowed me down to listen to her heart and her desire both was saying stand here listen to me be dedicated to me and I did.I will forever hear the ring of Peggy's bell as I do now and I look up and laugh and say that's Peggy.I will miss so and thanks for giving me the honor as one of your caregivers.Peace Love and Light.

Full of life, Peggy was an indefatigable force utterly devoted to Cleveland and its betterment --economically, socially, educationally, artistically, politically. She was a woman of good humor and intelligence rising from the working class of people.

Peggy blazed a path forward for others who would follow her lead. Truly strong and courageous, generous and insightful, she proved her full metal during her acceptance of the ALS diagnosis. She kept working as long as she could and bore her heavy burden with enormous dignity and resolve.

Peggy Mathna's life made our community and nation stronger. May the angels of healing and comfort carry her now to a place of lasting peace and may those she loved draw comfort through her strength. Peggy made a positive difference for others, and for that, we remain eternally grateful.
