Jim is a bright light in the universe that will never die! It is still burning bright as ever in heaven.

Death is nothing at all. He has only slipped away into the next room. Everything remains exactly as it was. He is he, and you are you, and the old life that you lived so fondly is untouched and unchanged. Whatever you were to so many, you still are. Call him by his old familiar name. Speak of him in the easy way in which you always did. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as you always laughed at the little jokes that you enjoyed together. Play, smile, pray for him. Let his name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is death but a negligible accident? Why should he be out of mind because he is out of sight? He is but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All Is Well! We love you Jim and we will never forget you! Love, the Volpe Family, Bob, Rose, Chris, Michelle, Christian, Cash & Luca!

We will never be the same as we were before this loss, but are EVER so much better for having had something so great to lose.

A very bright light has been dimmed with Jim's passing. I always enjoyed Jim's visits to our house when Chas, Jim and friends were embarking on their weekend nightly adventures in high school (not all of which I know about but will relish hearing in the coming days!). He occasionally visited me on breaks during and after Harvard. Jim was a remarkable young man with a tremendous enthusiasm for life and being of service to others. His intelligence, wit and sense of fun made Jim great company. I will cherish and miss you Jim...and that smile!! My heartfelt condolences to Paul, Lisa, Julia and family.

My sincere condolences for family and friends during this difficult time. Jim was like a brother to many and offered a heartfelt welcome to those that happened to journey down his path. I am greatly honored to have been apart of his life in the short time that I knew him. He is, and forever will be, cherished and remembered.

Although I did not get to meet James, I am very sorry for your loss. He was much too young for something like this to happen.

I can still see him playing on the cash register on the news because he was so smart. Im so very sorry paul and lisa, there are no words that will take the heartache away....you have been in my thoughts since genie called and told me.I remember holding him when he was baby. Have not seen you or him for awhile, but from what I have read these past few days, he turned out to a be quite a special person. Prayers to all of you.
